The formula for Orbital Velocity = V = squareroot(k^2/r) Using this formula, the Orbital Velocity is Calculated.   In order to calculate the Escape Velocity the Value of k^2 is entered in m^3/s^2 units and the value of Radius is entered in m (meters). Then the formula for Escape Velocity is V (escape) = squareroot(2*k^2/r)   Using this formula, the Escape Velocity is Computed.   In order to Calculate both the Orbital and Escape Velocity, we need to enter the mass in kg (kilograms) and Radius is m (meters) then the value of  V (orbital) and V(escape) are computed.
