Flight Control System FCS

Flight Control Systems including Fly by wire systems have become extremely popular in aircrafts from fighter jets to commercial jet liners.

Flight Control systems offer great ease in flying the aircraft. The flight control systems can be used to control aircrafts and even missiles. Different kinds of autopilots systems are used to control the aircraft in yaw, pitch and roll e.g.

·         Pitch Orientation Control System

·         Acceleration Control System

·         Attitude and Heading Reference System

·         Approach and Landing System

·         Mach Hold and Attitude Hold Control System

Fly by wire systems are now used in all major new fighter jets. This enables the pilot to focus on the target rather than flying the aircraft. The fly by wire system also enables the aircraft to be flown by the touch of a hand or to be flown autonomously. The fly by wire system also has the advantage that the aircraft won't exceed its maximum limits during any maneuver.
